The City of Eastvale is always evaluating our services and making sure that we are providing the most effective services at the best value for our residents and businesses.

On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, the City of Eastvale hosted their second budget goal setting workshop for the 19/20 fiscal budget year, specifically focused on public safety. Among the topics discussed was the possibility of creating Eastvale’s own Police Department.

A community workshop was held at the Public Safety Commission Meeting on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Public input was also received at the City Council Meeting on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in which the conversation of this possibility continued. 

A preliminary DRAFT feasibility study was conducted to help determine if creating a local Police Department would even be feasible for the City of Eastvale to consider. This study explored items such as current and future estimated costs, potential deployment structures and response time implications. This Preliminary Feasibility Study was also peer-reviewed by two independent law enforcement experts. The City is in the process of reviewing the documents, seeking additional analysis, and gathering community feedback for future City Council discussion.
