Our Commitment

The City of Eastvale is committed to making our website accessible to all users, including those with disabilities and other special needs. We strive to conform at a minimum with:

How We Support Accessibility

Aquia Web Governance provides weekly reports on website accessibility, enabling the Eastvale team to identify and address issues in a timely manner. In addition to reporting, the platform supports key accessibility features, including:

  • The ability for users to adjust font size and type
  • Options to modify text spacing
  • Controls to adjust color contrast
  • The ability to change cursor size
  • Alternative text for images to support screen readers

Opportunities for Improvement

  • Some PDF documents are not accessible.
  • Some videos do not have sufficient closed captions.
  • Some third party software and embeds are not accessible.
  • Some form elements are not associated with labels and instructions.

What We Are Doing to Improve

We are currently in the process of transitioning our website to a more accessible platform, with completion anticipated by April 2027. As part of this effort, we will be implementing software solutions on both our current and future websites to improve overall accessibility, including ensuring that PDFs and other content are fully accessible.

In addition, we are actively recruiting accessibility partners to conduct a comprehensive audit of the website, including a review of major third-party tools and plugins. In the near future, we will also implement ongoing user testing with individuals with disabilities to ensure the website is accessible to people with visual, hearing, and cognitive disabilities.
