2026 Awards and Recognitions:
California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) EPIC Awards
Eastvale’s Communications Team was proud to represent the City at this year’s California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) Conference.
Out of more than 500 submissions statewide, Eastvale received two major recognitions during CAPIO’s awards banquet, including an Award of Distinction for our 2025 State of the City and a Certificate of Excellence for the City’s Take Out Tuesday social media campaign.
The City is honored to be recognized at the state level for excellence in communications and community engagement!
Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) Top Influencers in Local Government
Each year, Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) recognizes 100 individuals from across the country as the Top Influencers in Local Government for their meaningful impact through innovation, leadership, creativity, and service.
The City of Eastvale is proud to share that City Manager Mark Orme and Economic Development Manager Alexander Fung were both named to this year’s Top Influencers in Local Government list.
Their leadership, dedication, and commitment to building a stronger Eastvale continue to make a lasting impact on our community every day.

The California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) Award of Merit
Our city's Economic Development team has recently been recognized with a 2026 CALED Award of Merit for their outstanding Business First Concierge Program!
Since launching in August 2025, the program has simplified the process for businesses to open, expand, or relocate by providing personalized support and streamlining approvals. It has already helped attract new businesses, foster collaboration, and enhance the customer experience, making Eastvale a more business-friendly community.

2025 Awards and Recognitions:
City of Eastvale Named 2025 Partner of the Year
The City of Eastvale was honored with the 2025 Partner of the Year Award by the Riverside County Workforce Development Board for its innovative and collaborative efforts to support economic growth, small businesses, and workforce connections.
The California Association for Local Economic Development
The California Association for Local Economic Development (CALED) is the state’s leading organization recognizing excellence in economic development. In 2025, the City of Eastvale received two CALED Awards of Merit—one in the “Collaborations in Real Estate & Finance” category for its Staybridge Suites hotel project, a 120-room development featuring kitchenettes, a banquet hall, and the only rooftop bar and restaurant in Western Riverside County, and another in “Programs & Promotions” for its Business First Walks initiative, which supports local businesses through monthly outreach and direct engagement by the Economic Development team.
2024 Awards and Recognitions:
IEEP Best Public Works Project: Limonite Avenue Gap Closure Project
The City of Eastvale has been honored with the Best Public Works Project award for the Limonite Avenue Gap Closure Project at the Inland Empire Economic Partnership's 12th Annual Turning Red Tape Into Red Carpet Awards. This recognition reflects our commitment to enhancing infrastructure and promoting community connectivity. The Limonite Avenue Gap Closure Project stands as a testament to our dedication to effective urban planning and sustainable development, ensuring safer and more efficient travel for all residents and visitors and visitors.
2023 Awards and Recognitions:
Fortune Ranked the city of Eastvale Number Seven in the Nation and Number One in California
Fortune ranked the City of Eastvale the seventh best place to raise a family in the nation and the number one best place to live in California!
Fortune evaluated nearly 2,000 cities, town, suburbs, exurbs, villages, and townships that had between 25,000 and 750,000 residents across all 50 states in the U.S. After analyzing nearly 2,000 cities, Fortune deemed Eastvale the seventh best place to live in the nation and is the only California city to make the list.

Eastvale Ranked the Least Financially at Risk City in California
Each year the Auditor of the State of California ranks cities from most financially at risk to least financially at risk. There are 430 cities on this list and the closer a city is to 430, the better. If a city is ranked 430 it means that they are the least financially at risk City in the state. In 2022, Eastvale was ranked 429/430 but we are incredibly excited and proud to announce that we are now ranked 430/430, meaning that Eastvale is the least financially at risk city in the entire state of California!

Award of Excellence in Marketing and Communications
The City of Eastvale received an Award of Excellence from the California Park & Recreation Society for the Marketing and Communication of last year’s International Food Festival! This is a huge win for our Community Services and Communications teams.
Government Finance Officers Association Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting
The City of Eastvale’s Finance Department received GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for our 2019-2020, 2020–2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023, and 2023-2024, annual comprehensive financial reports!
2022 Awards and Recognitions:
Eastvale Ranked the 26th Safest city in California
In 2022 the City of Eastvale WAS ranked as the 26th safest city in California by Safewise!
The Eastvale City Council makes public safety a top priority. In 2022, the Council increased public safety personnel hours, added additional special enforcement team (SET) deputies, and additional motorcycle officers to help keep our city safe.
Shoutout to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station for making this ranking possible by keeping our community safe!

Award of Excellence in Marketing and Communications
The City of Eastvale was proud to receive a 2022 Excellence in Public Information & Communication Award of Distinction from the California Public Information Officials Association. Eastvale received the award from the Special or Community Events category for our “Taste the World in Eastvale” International Food Festival Event!
Award of Excellence for the Regional Housing Needs Assessment
The Inland Empire Section of the American Planning Association honored the City of Eastvale with the Public Outreach Award of Excellence for the Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) Challenge.

2021 Awards and Recognitions:
Municipal Management Association of Southern California Organization Excellence Award
Thank you to Municipal Management Association of Southern California recognized the City of Eastvale with the 2021 Organizational Excellence Award.
The Organizational Excellence Award is presented to a public agency whose accomplishments have significantly contributed to the advancement of local government service or otherwise improved the quality of community service provided.
Gold MarCom Award in Digital Media
The City of Eastvale won a Gold MarCom Award in the category of Digital Media for our economic development website, Elevate Eastvale https://eastvaleelevates.com/. The MarCom Awards honor excellence in marketing and communication.
The City Council continues to be committed to strong economic development and attracting new, exciting, and unique businesses to Eastvale and this award speaks to that dedication.
