The City of Eastvale understands that being victimized by mail theft is frustrating, inconvenient and scary. The potential loss of credit cards, social security numbers, bank statements, checks, and other personal information can lead to identify theft and in some cases, greater risks.

UNITED STATES CONGRESSMAN KEN CALVERT
Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-42) introduced the Ensuring the Safety Our Mail Act, H.R. 603, which will double the maximum jail sentence for anyone convicted of mail theft. ADDITIONAL LAWS IN CALIFORNIA
- California Proposition 47: Reduced Penalties for Some Crimes Initiative, was on the November 4, 2014 ballot in California as an initiated state statute. The measure was APPROVED
- Californian Proposition 57: California Parole for Non-Violent Criminals and Juvenile Court Trial Requirements Initiative, was on the November 8, 2016, ballot in California as a combined initiated constitutional amendment and state statute. It was APPROVED.
- Assembly Bill 109: Public Safety Realignment, was signed by in 2011 by Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. to enable California to close the revolving door of low-level inmates cycling in and out of state prisons. It was APPROVED.
