The 2019 Residential Slurry Seal Project is an annual program to treat pavement on various residential streets throughout the City with slurry seal. These locations were selected based on a needs assessment and evaluated in comparison to past locations on the project.
The scope of work including public notification, weed spray work and the crack seal operation is estimated to start in approximately two weeks. The slurry seal work is estimated to start in October. Prior to the start of the repair work, affected residents will receive a door hanger notification from the contractor.
The following communities will be impacted:
- Eastvale Estates
- Amberhill Farms
- The Orchard
- Eastvale Downs
- Starlings Green
- Cimarron Ranch
- Chandler Ranch
- Community between Ronald Reagan Elementary School and Archibald Avenue
The City of Eastvale is committed to providing the best quality of service to our community and we thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during these repairs.
For additional information or questions, please contact our Public Works Department at 951.703.4471.
Note: Construction schedules are subject to change for various reasons including but not limited to: weather conditions, unforeseen emergencies and other acts of nature.
During the slurry seal application, access to your street will be interrupted for one day only between 8 AM to 5 PM, unless work is delayed due to equipment failures, weather-related problems, or other unforeseen reasons. During this time you and your vehicle(s) will not be allowed onto the street. If your street is not sealed as scheduled, it will be rescheduled and you will be re-notified 72 hours in advance of the work.
No traffic will be allowed on the street after the slurry has been placed and is drying. You will need to plan ahead and park on another street if you are planning to travel during the date of work scheduled. The slurry will generally take about 2 to 4 hours to dry depending on temperature, cloud cover, humidity and wind conditions.
Slurry seal cannot be applied in heavy or steady rain. If we have or anticipate significant rainfall, the slurry seal application may be postponed to another day. You will be notified of the new application date via a door hanger and signs along your street.
Park your vehicle on a nearby street that is not being slurry sealed.
Should an emergency arise, emergency vehicles will be given access to the street.
