Eastvale L.E.D Retrofitting Project
We are excited to share that we are about a month into the Eastvale L.E.D Retrofitting Project!
In March 2019, the City of Eastvale completed the purchase of 4,100 streetlights located within the city limits from Southern California Edison (SCE). We have now began the process of upgrading to new retrofitted LED lights, making the city streets much brighter at night.
These new LED streetlight fixtures align with the City’s strategic goal to enhance public safety by creating more visibility and will use 75% less energy than traditional streetlights.
The distribution pattern has been strategically selected so that the lights don't cast light backwards onto yards and only cast light out far enough to cover the road surface.
All of the main streets (arterials) are now complete, and there have been a total of 1,118 lights converted citywide.
This project began on June 4th and is projected to be completed by December 2019.
