Fourth of July 2019 Fireworks Enforcement Operation
In response to the illegal use of fireworks, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, in conjunction with City of Eastvale Community Enhancement & Safety Team, Riverside County Fire, and Riverside County Animal Control, developed response plans to educate the public and to enforce all laws related to the illegal use and possession of fireworks within the city limits.
Beginning in June 2019, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department launched an educational campaign to curtail the use of illegal fireworks during the Fourth of July holiday. This campaign included video Public Service Announcements, Social Media Outreach, and press releases. The goal was to decrease calls for service, injuries to the public, and property damage caused by the illegal use of fireworks.
On July 4, 2019, these agencies participated in a proactive operation to combat the illegal use of fireworks in the City of Eastvale. This operation began on 4th of July at 5:00 PM and ended on July 5, 2019, at 2:00 AM.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department would like to remind everyone that fireworks are illegal in Riverside County and the City of Eastvale. We would also like to encourage the reporting of the illegal use and possession of fireworks by calling our Sheriff’s Dispatch Center at 951.950.2444 or through our online reporting on the Sheriff’s Department webpage.
