The City of Eastvale would like to remind our community that it is illegal to possess, discharge, or sell fireworks. All fireworks, including Safe and Sane fireworks are illegal in the City of Eastvale.

Every year fireworks cause major injuries, damages, and tragedies. Stop the use of illegal fireworks to avoid this from happening; leave fireworks to the professionals!

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department, Riverside County Sheriff's Department, and the City of Eastvale Community Enhancement & Safety Team will be enforcing a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy for any person caught with fireworks. Under the City of Eastvale’s Municipal Code of Ordinance: Section 8.22.030 Prohibition. – No person shall have in his possession, or keep, store, use, shoot, discharge, set off, ignite, explode, manufacture, sell, offer to sell, give or transport any fireworks, dangerous fireworks or safe and sane fireworks, except for use as agricultural and wildlife fireworks or for use in a public display of fireworks pursuant to a permit obtained under the provisions of Health and Safety Code §§ 12640—12654.

Furthermore, any person who violates any provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punished; by a fine not less than $500.00 nor more than $1,000.00, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not to exceed one year, or both such fine or imprisonment.

Anyone observing the illegal use of fireworks are urged to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department immediately by calling dispatch at 951.776.1099.
