EASTVALE RANKED IN TOP 25TH PERCENTILE OF SAFEST CITIES IN UNITED STATES
EASTVALE, CA – The City of Eastvale is proud to announce that we have been ranked the 20th safest city in California; and ranked in the top 25th percentile of safest cities in the United States based on the 100 Safest Cities in America study that was conducted by Safe Home for the second year in a row.
To identify the safest cities in the United States, Safe Home analyzes several different factors to develop and assign a Safety Score to a city. Data such as the FBI’s latest crime reports, the city’s crime trends, the city’s officer-to-population ratio, and demographic metrics are compiled to calculate a crime score. The city with the highest crime score (most crime) is assigned a Safety Score of 0 and the lowest crime score (least crime) is assigned a Safety Score of 100. We are pleased that Eastvale has been assigned a Safety Score of 84.93, and that our violent crime and property crime statistics have decreased since 2018. “The City has and continues to invest in public safety, while residents have become more involved in the safety of our community through the Neighborhood Watch Program.” Mayor Todd Rigby said. “As a result, we are not only seeing crime rates decline, but we are also being recognized amongst the safest cities in the U.S. It is exciting to think of what additional resources coming to our city such as Automated License Plate Reader Cameras, additional patrol hours, and an additional motorcycle officer, will do to enhance the public safety of our community.”
The City of Eastvale would first like to thank the hardworking women and men of the Eastvale Police Department (contracted by Riverside County Sheriff Department) that provide our law enforcement services. We would also like to thank our residents and businesses for their involvement in maintaining a safe environment. Lastly, we want to continue to remind everyone to be vigilant by immediately reporting suspicious and criminal activity to the Eastvale Police Department. If you see something, say something. We are grateful for our team that is made up of our Eastvale Police Department, residents, businesses, and partnering agencies; and for the recognition from Safe Home.
