On Friday, June 8, 2018, about 10:00 PM, an Eastvale deputy working commercial burglary suppression conducted an occupied vehicle check at the Eastvale Gateway Shopping Center in the 6000 Block of Hanmer Avenue in Eastvale. The deputy contacted the driver, identified as 43-year-old Eastvale resident, Willie Abarca. It was determined Abarca was on formal probation for drug sales in San Bernardino County and was also identified as being an active participant of a criminal street gang. Abarca was found to be in possession of approximately two ounces of methamphetamine and other items indicative of methamphetamine sales. Abarca was arrested and booked into custody at the Robert Presley Detention Center for methamphetamine sales.
